Seventh Street
In casino terminology, “Seventh Street” refers to the final round of betting in certain poker games, most commonly Seven-Card Stud. By this stage, each player has been dealt seven cards—three face-down and four face-up—and must decide how to proceed with their hand. The term comes from the sequence of dealing, as the seventh card is dealt face-down to each player before the last betting round begins. This moment is pivotal, as it’s the last opportunity to strategize and maximize potential winnings before the showdown. Seventh Street often heightens the game’s intensity, with players relying on both skill and nerve to outmaneuver their opponents.
